It's a great piece of work by Frank Quitely. But what is the message this image is trying to convey? Well, isn't it obvous? Absolute Superman = Messianic Figure!

I have a Wiccan friend who has a really tough time watching any Superman movies for this very reason... the whole father/son messianic thing is TOO much for her. Wouldn't this tick off Christians as well since humans are making a false god? hmmmm
